A month worth of tweets from fab feb

5 Mar 2010

Due to being exceedingly busy, I didn't get round to doing a January roundup - but with such a cold miserable month, who wants to remember that? Onwards to February:

3 Feb: RT @rcktsheffield Finally put online the video of the logo perspective illusion we had at our old offices http://vimeo.com/9176942

10 Feb: #Tesco "gps for shopping" #iPhone app not only locates the nearest store, but tells you which aisle and shelf any product is on #clever

10 Feb: Amazing pictures of digging tunnel down for new station on world's deepest underground http://bit.ly/dvdLCu #russia #tunnel #engineering

10 Feb: As UK taxpayers, we're all shareholder in the Halifax - so can we all rise up in revolution against those AWFUL "radio station" TV adverts?

16 Feb: The safari camp we went on our honeymoon been voted 3rd best "all inclusive" hotel IN THE WORLD! http://bit.ly/dk5IHj (it was VERY good!)

17 Feb: Got a spam from Kenneth Williams, wanting help with a £3.2m unclaimed will. Presumably Carry On royalties not coming in so fast any more.

17 Feb: Really interesting blog on new #BBC #design / visual language http://bit.ly/bZzkdC looking forward to seeing it rolled out...

17 Feb: We're saving the planet according to our leccy bill http://twitpic.com/13sn9k - £133 saving according to my maths #ecowarriers

17 Feb: Good thing about buying quality photo gear is it holds its value. Just upgraded camera & lens + got half cost back selling old ones on eBay

19 Feb: Awesome concept and execution - "today's news, read by yesterday's computers" http://bbcmicronews.co.uk [brought back some memories]]

20 Feb: Our garden exactly half defrosted yesterday http://twitpic.com/14bk1w #Sheffield #frost #winter

21 Feb: [Winter Olympics] #skiCross is awesome - like a competitive Bond chase sequence. Perhaps they could do similar in 2012 - through London streets in a tank?

26 Feb: Had a call from HSBC, my credit card has been used fraudulently - to add insult to injury, on a site selling human hair wigs #mockTheBalding

28 Feb: My pidgin Russian translates these sweets (with their lovely retro design) as "Cosmic Odyssey"s http://twitpic.com/15ugp9 #hipstamatic

Also in February, I launched Eat 4 2, a personal project to create a simple reference for which foods are safe for pregnant women, and which aren't. It's using some good Web 2.0 principles (with an API and everything!). I plan to blog about its creation soon...
